My pictures are stretching too much to fit the monitor and is making them look soft. Is there any way that we (the users) could control the sizes that the images are shown at? As I would not like the images to be shown at larger than 100%.

Merge custom lists
You may have created a list for South African Mammals and the want to create a similar list for East Africa which already exists. It would be great to be able to merge the 2 lists or to be able to selectively copy part of one list to the other to speed up the creation of the new list

Multiple Filter Property Values
In the Filters, at the end in the Properties section, you can only choose one of the many properties you might have, e.g. the Recorder who entered the record, or Method of Moth trapping: Light Trap or Wine Rope. But let’s say you want to filter for a particular observer/Recorder and only find the moths caught with the Light trap you can’t at the moment.
So I was thinking something like a new Property dropdown appearing after you chosen your first Value choice, so you can select another and so on, to a max of say 3 or 4.

Remember the last used Locations
It would be good to remember the last few (5 - 10?) locations used. I personally have 773 locations, but - without looking at the stats - I'd imagine I use about 5 of them 95+% of the time. If those last 5 were at the top it would be very useful. Unfortunately, I'm more likely to use "Fowlmere" or "Cambridge Botanic Gardens", sooner than I'll be using "Tierra del Fuego", "Chitwan", or "Lamington National Park"; but they still have equal prominence when scrolling through to select a location.
Maybe it could even default to the closet location on the…

RSS Feed of records
I had an idea to be able to export records to a CMS template/Theme for either Wordpress or Joomla but Bird Journal have suggested an RSS feed (I presume from our cloud accounts). I like this idea and would like others to support if they like it too?

Graphs: Comparing years
There should be graphs with several years for a species. This way you can compare when "invations" peaked from year to year, and it would be more intuitive check population trends.
One should be able to choose between max count or number of observations on the Y-axis.

Improve Wildlife Recorder Import
It's currently not possible to import "properties" such as, photographed, heard only, etc from Wildlife Recorder. This is because Bird Journal doesn't understand how they are listed in the exported file.
Import should be extended to cover the full range of properties available in Wildlife Recorder to make import as smooth as possible.

Ability to compare actual records against potential number of records
The ability to report number of nights a moth is caught each month against number of nights trap run is something I manually produce on a monthly basis for key moth Families such as Sphingidae, to pass on to researchers. This data is more useful for mapping distribution / flight periods than pure count data

Social Media Sharing from App
I think it would be great if you could share an individual observation or a daily summary on Facebook/Twitter that would include a single photo if you had attached one.
It would also be great if it included your field notes in addition to the standard observation stats.

Provide a way to enter time other than military time with the option to selection AM/PM
It would nice to have the option of selecting regular time vs. military time and a check box for AM/PM.

Better Location Support
One of the things that seems strange to me about Bird Journal is that notating locations seems incredibly tedious, perhaps I'm missing something, but when you add a new entry and you want to put a location, it would be great if this field synced with Google Maps and found the location as you typed it in. Instead I actually have to manually add each location I go to in a completely separate area first? This seems like an incredibly archaic interface.

Location Photo
The ability to enter a photo when generating a new location. This will allow the photo to be loaded when you enter the location details in your observations.

Flag unlikely birds against the known distribution of the bird
Bird Journal does many things that eBird and associated apps can't do. That's the brilliance of Bird Journal! However, a critical problem with Bird Journal is that it let you record that you saw a Siberian Jay in Central Australia. The data that Bird Journal holds contains the distribution of birds according to users. I think Bird Journal needs to use this to flag to users, "Are you sure?" If someone says, "Yes!" to seeing a Siberian Jay in Central Australia, then that observation can easily be ignored as an outlier until sufficient user sighting have to received to varify…

Create locations that are dynamic
I live at Lake Tahoe. I like to track the birds I have seen in the whole basin, but that currently isn’t possible as Lake Tahoe covers two states. I want to keep my lists for each state separate, but also be able to view the birds I have seen at Lake Tahoe as one list instead of as the California side and the Nevada side. So, can you create locations that are viewed in the current hierarchy as well as being able to view sightings from two different locations as one list as desired?

Species only Heard are included in the overall species list, it would be helpful to have a settings option to exclude or include these.
Many birders want to record species they have heard, but do not include them their overall species list.
It would improve the product incredibly to have a setting to include/exclude species which have only been heard from the Species summary/list.3 votes -
Summary report showing what species you have seen each year
Could work a bit like the checklist report in that all species could be listed on the left and then years across the top. In each year the species has been seen the little box could be coloured in and in the years the species wasn't seen it would just be the box outline. Scroll down to see the whole list of species, scroll across to see all years. Filters could include years so you could select a start and end year ie. 2010 to 2020 if you don't want to see 30+ years - another toggle could be to…
