Add support for Code Synonym lists to mobile apps
In order to speed up the selection of species in the field, it would be very useful to have support for the code synonym feature you have on the Windows app, which allows you to define short code aliases for species name.Users would then be able to create and share synonym lists based on standards (such as BTO and BBL) or their own lists.

Add facility to merge lists
I have imported data into Bird Journal from eBird and am finding that on some occasions (due to the way the data was uploaded to eBird) I have multiple entries for the same location on the same date. There's no way to combine this data to produce the 'composite' list for the day in question.

Increment count in App
I am using the android app for survey entry in the field (yay notebook never leaves pocket!!). It would be extremely useful once a species is entered in an entry to have a increment button in the entry list to simply add to the count for a selected item in the species list as a new bird is encountered rather than having to enter the species and change the count.

drag and drop species to sub species
You have been on a trip added all your birds, you get home now you want to move them to sub species. At the moment this is a very slow job.

Change pin options
When you zoom in on the map of your sightings you have a pin with a number on it which denotes how many sightings which then changes colour the further you zoom in until it gives you individual blue pins for your individual sighting. Could we have an option to just have the blue pins on the map whether you're zoomed in or not so you can see clearer each pin and have a better overall idea of where you have been in the country? (hope this makes sense?!)

Some of the Englishcounties and most of the Welsh ones are missing, and could do with updating.

Custom report allowing you to compare species lists between sites
Custom report allowing you to compare species lists between sites, ability to highlight species common to some / all the selected sites and species only recorded at one - initially direct comparison between two sites would be great, this is something I manually do at the moment.

Link mobile app to popular bird identification guides
This would be so that when I ID a bird using the bird identification guide, I can quickly add an entry to Bird Journal. Or maybe launch a specified guide ffrom within Bird Journal and capture the result.

Western Palearctic life list
It is quite normal for birders to have a WP life list (as opposed to Europe). How easy is it for you (or me) to create?

Provide suggestions when entering location and species names in the mobile apps
Neither entering the name without suggestions, or picking from a list is optimal

Create easier navigation through long alphabetical lists
For long alphabetical lists in the Windows app, eg, on the Locations view in BJ 5beta, it is tedious to scroll down to a distant letter. Can you consider adopting a feature such as is used in the All Apps view of the Start Menu in Windows 10, where clicking the letter header for a specific section (ie, A or B) pops up a box that shows the full alphabet, and then selecting any given letter swaps you back to the alphabetical list but scrolled to that location. This would be particularly useful on touch devices, and would have the…

Add ability to send list via email
Currently I have to retype my lists of sightings to send to my local bird group. If I could send direct from within Bird Journal this would remove a stage.
8 votesA nice idea.
What would you like to send? Entry report, exported records, perhaps filtered?
What format do you send it in, and what’s your process at the moment?
Please provide detail in the comments so we know what’s required.

Allow auto-renewing subscriptions for Europe
European tax law has changed, adding a lot of additional paperwork for us to continue selling into Europe (outside of the United Kingdom) from our website.
It is still possible to purchase single-year Bird Journal Premium subscriptions from our apps via the Apple AppStore or Google Play.
Please vote for this item if you would like us to resume selling auto-renewing subscriptions or gift certificates, Europe-wide, from our website.

100% export of Bird Journal database
Create a 100% export of Bird journal database. Ebird record format export drops nested location names except for the country as well as any custom properties added by the user. The Bird Journal Record Format exports the custom properties but does not export the nested locations. Additionally, it is not a flat export file and appears the only use of the file is re-importing back into Bird Journal.

Upload Custom Taxonomy
I have a list of WA state butterflies from BOMNA that I'd like to upload so that I can have a checklist in the app. There is a Custom taxonomy form, but it appears to be for creating a single record which seems useful for single entries for new or very rare sightings, but not usefful when looking at hundreds or thousands of species. How can I bulk upload a checklist?

Allow to share an entry with someone via Bird Journal
Can select Bird Journal users to share with, or just enter email addresses, allowing recipients to view shared entries with a free Bird Journal account.
Useful if you've gone birding in a group - only one person needs to keep a record of observations.
