This suggestion really should have more votes, especially as the BOU will be adopting the IOC World List in 2018. Currently, it is a real pain in the rear to have to switch back and forwards between the IOC World List that has subspecies and a particular country IOC list that does not have subspecies. Most keen birders need/like to record and distinct taxa on their travels as these are the potential future splits (or lumps).
