Revert to v4 photo thumbnails displayed by month
In v5 you can only see a narrow strip of photo thumbnails on LH side. In previous versions, it was possible to see all the photos for a relevant month at once and the ability to scroll through many rows of thumbnails at a time. Thus; you can see at a glance the quality birds you saw (or not) that month: or, just scroll through the years and reminisce ..

The 'need' to go back to version 4 for the brilliant, old, photo viewing option - as I always do too, is the biggest put-off to my loading new images onto Bird Journal. The version 5, strip gallery viewer has significantly de-valued the software. It beggers belief why the change was made.

Couldn't agree more with the original post! Earlier versions were much better for seeing your thumbnails and I would really like this feature put back. V5 is a retrograde step in this regard, IMO.

I always go back to version 4 to view photos as I find the 'newer version' unusuable.

Definitely support this idea. V4 display is much more useful in my opinion.
