Add subspecies to country checklists
The "correct" set of subspecies this is. This may be possible using IOC range data, though there may be the occasional error. But it would allow a starting point for future iteration - we could happily accept amendments.

This suggestion really should have more votes, especially as the BOU will be adopting the IOC World List in 2018. Currently, it is a real pain in the rear to have to switch back and forwards between the IOC World List that has subspecies and a particular country IOC list that does not have subspecies. Most keen birders need/like to record and distinct taxa on their travels as these are the potential future splits (or lumps).

This would be a great improvement to the current country checklists. Personally, I would like to see the IOC range text incorporated into Bird Journal in some way, i.e., when you select a sub-species you can see it's range. This will help to select the correct ssp (a country may have several ssp within the region) and it would also highlight any potential errors in the checklist
