USe BTO 5-letter abbreviations for faster entry
Add the 5-letter bird name abbreviations to the bird names so you can search by those rather than the full name of the bird (e.g. RUDSH for Ruddy Shellduck) - or any of the other standard abbreviation systems.

This is already possible using synonym packs available in the Bird Journal library, with thanks to Jonathan Davidson.

trying to load 2-letter BTO synonym pack, got it on my data base but cant access when making an entry?

Can this functionality be extended to the apps too? It'd make it even easier to create entries in the field.
