iPad version
Create a iPad version of the mobile app to fully take account of the much better resolution on the device.
And better still would be to add some of the Windows functionality around managing entries, editing of geotags in particular (by selecting from a map) would be good.
This has now been completed and an update is available in the App Store that makes full use of the iPad screen.
If it doesn’t yet show as an update then wait a few hours to let the App Store update – this is very hot off the press!
We didn’t add any desktop features as part of this. If you’d like to see that then please vote for or create the relevant suggestions.
Best wishes,
Justin

I will look forward to the v5 web edition then :-)
It will be really useful to be able to take only my iPad on extended trips and not have to take the laptop.

A quick update on this. When version 5 is released you'll be able to use the web version of Bird Journal on your iPad also, internet permitting. This means you'll have the same full experience as the desktop software.
We're still keen to have a native iPad app too. We might be able to use the new version 5 user interface directly as an app. I'll update as we learn more.
