Date range filter
For all screens, including export, allow to filter by a range of dates. Currently it's only possible to filter to a month, month-year or year.
This is now possible as part of the version 5 beta software:
This feature will be generally available in an update shortly.
You can vote for the outstanding work on this if you wish. Date range filtering for mobile apps:

Good idea, this would allow much more interrogation of the data
As part of this I would expect us to introduce a "day" filter, so you can filter to show a day to view easily, without needing to specify an end date too.

This facility would make it much easier to exact trip lists
Agree being able to select a week at a time would simplify filling in the BTO garden bird watch forms.
Being able to filter a range of dates is another great suggestion and one that I would find very useful.
I seem to have run out of votes, but this is one of the things I sorely miss. If I have visited two locations (in different parent locations/ provinces) on a day trip, I am unable to view or export a species list total for the day. The year/month option does not cover that. Unless I am overlooking something this is very annoying. Trip lists (by means of a date range) are a must for me.

There are a lot of date range requests, none of which specifically cover the exporting records feature. I'm creating this suggestion as a catch all date range option throughout the various features of BirdJournal in hopes that we can get all those who want date ranges to vote on this one and consolidate our voting power. My thought is that all of the date range requests should be added and that it might be easier to do all of them at the same time since the process should be similar.
When exporting records, add the ability to filter by specific dates or date range rather than by just month or year. The "since last export" feature has the promise to do what I want, but it doesn't seem to remember my last export after a software update, so I have to do a combination of filtering and unchecking a lot of boxes to get what I need.

The ability to get the number of species from a given date or range of dates would be useful
To be able to do a to and from date search, say to do a weeks holiday total for that week, by using the options/entry properties i have set up my own version but only applies to new data that i have entered or old data that I have updated.

The ability to select multiple years would be especially useful for me on the population Trend graphs. Then I could see a monthly average/peak population trend based on several years of sightings..
