Export from Wildlife Recorder, how-to
First, make sure you've updated your taxonomy in Wildlife Recorder to the latest versions. This will make the import process easier avoiding ambiguity mapping species.
Open the sighting database in Wildlife Recorder and go to File and then Export. You will see the following screen:
You can choose to export all records from the database or select entries. Make sure that the other options look like above:
- Output Column Headings checkbox is ticked
- Export file format is "Trips and sightings in standard Wildlife Recorder format"
An CSV file will be produced that looks like this:
You can then proceed to import your records to Bird Journal.
